Polar Plunge for Catholic Education
The Annual Polar Plunge occurred on Sunday, February 4 at the Sea Bright Municipal Beach.
Each year during Catholic Schools Week the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) hosts a Polar Plunge for Catholic Education. Division 16 will once again participate in this wonderful tradition that brings Catholic Schools across New Jersey together to celebrate and raise money for their schools. This is a great way to support Catholic education and "Take the Plunge".
Of course, Tommy’s Tavern across the street provided plenty of pre and post plunge beverages and food for the event.
A Day at Screaming Hill Farm Brewery
Screaming Hill Farm Brewery is located in Cream Ridge NJ, a mile in on Rt 537 down past Six Flags (Great Adventure).
The brewery is located on the Bullock Family Farm at 83 Emleys Hill Rd. Cream Ridge, NJ 08514.
They grow their own hops, as well as import them, and brew about 12 different beers that are rotated in and out regularly, with types of beer ranging from Pilsners, Lagers, Ales, IPA’s and hazy New England style IPA’s
The family and friends of AOH Division 16 intend to descend on Screaming on Sep 23rd for an afternoon of beer tasting and music. IF the weather is inclement, then a rain date of Sep 30th will be set.
